Custom Decals

In the market for custom decal set? Whether you’re looking for a couple markings, a complete airline livery, 100 decal sets for your new line of model kits, or printing your own artwork, we’ve been known to accept custom work of all kinds when we have the time. In fact, most of our catalog is comprised of custom jobs we’ve helped other clients with over the years.

Most projects average around the $50 Canadian dollar range with some as little as $25 and some over $200. Unlike our regular catalog decal sets, custom work is more of a function of time required to finish a project rather than production costs. While some projects can take 10 hours or more to complete, we consider ourselves lucky if we manage to fit in all the necessary email correspondence, invoicing, reference photo searches, artwork design printing, packaging, and mailing in an hour or less. The first copy of any custom decal set is always the most expensive, but unit prices drop quite drastically with each additional copy ordered.With a suitable budget, there is very little we can’t do or at least point you towards someone who can. To help keep our prices reasonable, we also reserve the right to include any custom work in our catalog unless otherwise agreed upon.

Very recently, we upgraded our printer to the Oki C942 that can produce white and opaque colours as well.For us to print your own supplied artwork, please provide us your artwork files in vector format (Adobe Illustrator .ai files preferred) with print area margins of 20.5 x 26.9cm and any white areas including white layered underneath colors for increased opacity must be on their own layer. Decals intended to be applied over white paint that don’t require any white or opaque ink can be printed much more easily from almost any file type with a minimum recommended resolution of 300dpi for bitmap based files such as .pg or .png. Most artwork supplied in a “ready to print” state can be printed starting at $25CAD/pg for the average client, although costs may be higher if any manual reformatting or other adjustments are required.
